Knob Creek and Sprite

Knob Creek and Sprite Recipe – bubbly and refreshing, it’s incredibly easy to make!

Easy two-ingredient Knob Creek and Sprite cocktail recipe tastes amazing and is so easy to make. It only takes a minute to make.

I was introduced to the super easy Knob Creek and Sprite cocktail by a friend–it’s the perfect party drink. I’ve come to appreciate this 2-ingredient cocktail. I’m mixing a Knob Creek and Sprite weekly—and loving it.

Why You’ll Love This Drink

You’ll love this Knob Creek and Sprite drink because it’s incredibly easy and quick to make. You literally just have to pour two ingredients into an ice-filled glass!

Knob Creek is known for its higher rye content which lends itself well to mixing with lemon-lime sodas like Sprite. The carbonation of the Sprite lightens up Knob Creek’s strong bourbon flavor without overpowering it.

The Knob Creek and Sprite cocktail is a deceptively simple drink. The classic mix of bourbon and Sprite is good for any time of day or any season.

I prefer a ratio of three parts Sprite to one part Knob Creek–the buzz of the bourbon and Sprite builds slowly and is easy to maintain at a humming level.

No recipe is really needed, but I’ve included one just in case below.

How to make a Knob Creek and Sprite

These are the ingredients you’ll need to make this easy recipe:

  • Knob Creek Bourbon: Of course, you’ll need Knob Creek!
  • Ice: Knob Creek and Sprite is served over ice.
  • Garnishes: Garnish your drink with a lemon twist and a maraschino cherry.

It’s also nice to garnish the drink with a lemon wheel. But if you don’t have lemon, it will still be delicious.

In terms of the Sprite–I generally make this with Diet Sprite, but you can also use Regular Sprite or Sprite Zero.

Knob Creek and Sprite FAQs

What if I don’t have any Sprite?

If you’re all out of Sprite, there are several soda substitutions, including:

  • Sierra Mist
  • 7-Up
  • Fresca
  • Store brand lemon lime soda

A soda like Mountain Dew will be a lot more intense/sweet and may mask the alcohol taste a bit.

You can also use a lemon or lime seltzer water–you can stir in some simple syrup!

How many calories are in Knob Creek and Sprite?

It depends on what kind of Sprite you use, but if using regular Sprite, there are about 177 calories in a Knob Creek and Sprite using 4 oz. of Sprite and 2 oz. of tequila.

I also garnish is with a lemon twist and maraschino cherry, because that’s what I usually have in the house.

There’s no official name for a Knob Creek and Sprite cocktail. It is typically referred to as a Bourbon and Sprite.
