Here are fruits that start with the letter H.

Some of these you may have heard of, and some are unusual.

1. Honeydew Melon

Honeydew has a subtle sweetness and firm texture that you can use in fruit salads, smoothies, and even frozen for delicious bites like sherbet.

Honeydew is a perfect summer snack. This must-have melon is refreshing, light and delicious cold.

2. Honeycrisp Apple

Apples are serious. In my house, there is always a war over who should choose Pink Ladies or Galas.

Honeycrisp’s unique flavor and shelf life make it a great choice for baking.

3. Honeyberry

Tasting similar to an underripe blueberry, the honey berry can be eaten fresh or made into jams or fruit wine.

Honey berries have more than just antioxidants. They are also a great source of fiber, vitamin C, and other valuable nutrients.

The high levels of antioxidants in honey berries help boost the immune system. The highest concentration of anthocyanins was found in honey berries compared to blueberries. 

4. Hog Plum

Hog plums are native to Peru. Hog plum comes in a variety of colors like green, yellow, orange, red, and purple. It has a thick, leathery shell. The flesh is pink-yellow in color, with a large pit and a texture similar to that of an avocado.

The plum flavor has been described as close to a sweet and sour Granny Smith apple. However, the flavor of the hog plum varies according to its ripeness.

The fruit is rich in vitamin C, vitamin K and antioxidants.

5. Habanero

Its green color is typical, but changes with age. Habaneros have a distinctive flavor unlike any other hot pepper.

It’s crisp, fruity and full of pungency. Its unique flavor makes it the benchmark for other peppers.

Fatalii and Scotch Bonnet are two peppers with similar heat and flavor.

6. Hula Berry

This fruit is a natural hybrid like cucamelons. They look like white strawberries and taste like pineapple.

They are also called alpine berries, pineberries, alpine berries, and white strawberries.

They aren’t modified genetically, they grow naturally when cross-pollinated.

7. Huito fruit

The pulp is very succulent and has many cream-colored seeds.

The fruit is oval in shape and has a thick, yellowish-brown skin.

The huito is an edible fruit used in the preparation and preservation of sorbets and other ice creams.

8. Himalayan Blackberry

These berries were harvested in the Himalayan mountain ranges and are available in both India and China.

They are strong and delicious.

9. Hyuganatsu

Hyuganatsu is yellow in color when fully ripe.

It can be used in Venezuela for the production of juices or liquors, as well as cocktails.

12. Huaya

The taste is almost like a mix of very sweet lime juice and lychee.

They are widely found in Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Latin America, as well as in Florida.

13. Hola

Its precious fruit is round and delicious. The fruit heads are approximately 0 cm in diameter and the individual pieces (phalanges) are tightly packed with an outer fibrous covering.

It can be planted with one or several seeds. Because they are carried by ocean currents, they spread easily and remain viable for many more months.

14. Heisteria

The globose fruits are extremely flowery, even with seeds. It has a flavor similar to strawberry or hazelnut.

15. Hilocereus

Fruits of different types of cacti. It is of medium height and contains many small seeds.
